The Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART) has two new reproductive procedures on its work programme. These are:
use of previously cryopreserved eggs
collection of immature eggs and use of eggs that have been matured by in vitro maturation
ACART has completed its
advice to the Minister of Health on the use of cryopreserved eggs in fertility treatment
Work on the use of in vitro maturation is underway. Public consultation on this matter will conclude in March 2009.
