ACART undertook work to develop advice to the Minister of Health on whether IVM should be declared an established procedure. The work included public consultation from January to March 2009.

ACART consulted with Associate Minister of Health, Hon Steve Chadwick , under section 41(2) of the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004 (HART Act), over guidelines on embryo donation.

In May 2008, ACART provided advice to the Associate Minister of Health of PGD as required by section 38 of the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004

These recommendations have been accepted by the Associate Minister of Health.

ACART has provided advice on embryo splitting to the Associate Minister of Health, Hon Steve Chadwick, under section 38(b) of the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004. The Minister has agreed to ACART's recommendations, which are included within this report.
